Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday introduced a cheque of Rs 20 lakh to the spouse of Assam Rifles jawan Pranay Kalita, who was killed in amilitant assault in Manipurs Chandel district.

Sonowal stated the state was proud of his valour andsense of responsibility in the direction of the nation.
