NEW DELHI: The southwest monsoon has made an onset over Kerala, marking the graduation of the four-month lengthy rainfall season, the India Meteorological Department mentioned on Monday.
“The southwest monsoon has made an onset over Kerala,” IMD director common Mrutyunjay Mohapatra mentioned.
The four-month monsoon season from June to September accounts for 75 per cent of rainfall within the nation.
Private forecaster Skymet Weather on May 30 had declared arrival of monsoon, however the IMD had differed, saying circumstances weren’t ripe then for such an announcement.
