On September 30, the Home Ministry in its Unlock 5.0 guidelines allowed to reopen cinema halls at 50 % capability beginning October 15. Today, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting headed by Prakash Javadekar introduced the Standard Operating Procedures(SOP) which is to be adopted by the employees and the viewers.

Mr Javadekar took to Twitter to share all 24 SOP set by the I&B Ministry:

1. Occupancy of the auditorium shall not be greater than 50%
2. Adequate bodily distancing whereas seating
3. Seats “Not to be occupied” shall be marked as such
4. Provision for hand wash and hand sanitizers
5. Installation and use of Arogya Setu App shall be suggested to all
6. Thermal screening to be carried out. Only asymptomatic people shall be allowed.
7. Self-monitoring of well being and reporting any sickness
8. Staggered show timings shall be adopted for various screens
9. Digital modes of fee to be inspired
10. Regular cleansing and disinfection of the field workplace and different areas
11. Sufficient quantity of counters on the field workplace shall be opened
12. Audience inspired to keep away from motion throughout the intermission
13. Floor markers shall be used for bodily distancing for queue administration at field workplace
14. Purchase of ticket at field workplace to be open all through the day, advance reserving to be allowed to keep away from crowding

24. Public service bulletins on carrying masks, bodily distancing and hand hygiene to be made earlier than and after screening and through intermission.
